The Do the Write Thing Challenge gives middle school students all over the country an opportunity to express themselves through writing and examine the impact of violence on their lives through classroom discussions.

Leader Readers who are prominent leaders in our community score the top two finalists to represent Bexar County as our National Ambassadors.

Our National Ambassadors represent Bexar County at the NCSV’s Recognition Week in Washington, D.C. this summer, July 2024.

The schools held recognition ceremonies for the students, their families, and staff.

Our top two students were announced as the National DTWT Ambassadors for our city, recognized, and sent to Washington, DC, to have their writing placed in the Library of Congress.
